What is it about?
Jill (Zoey Deutch), an aspiring baker in San Francisco, copes with the sudden loss of her sister Isabelle by continuing to leave her voicemails. Unknown to her, the number has been reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson), an Austin real estate agent, who starts falling for her through her raw, funny messages about her chaotic life—without ever telling her she has the wrong number.
When the two eventually meet, and a real relationship begins, Jill remains unaware that Wes is the one who’s been listening all along. The film follows their unconventional romance alongside Jill’s grief and healing, building to an emotional finale. Directed by Leah McKendrick, it also stars Nick Offerman, Lukas Gage, and Harry Shum Jr.
