The Costume Designers Guild (CDG) unveiled its nominations for costume design excellence in film, short-form and television.

In the Excellence in Contemporary Film category are mentions for “Hustlers,” “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,” “The Laundromat,” “Knives Out” and “Queen & Slim.” In the Excellence in Period Film contention are nominations for “Dolemite Is My Name,” “Jojo Rabbit” “Rocketman,” "Once Upon a Time...In Hollywood," and “Downton Abbey.”

Some of the nominations across the television board are “Fleabag,” “Killing Eve,” and “Russian Doll” in the Excellence in Contemporary Television. “Watchmen,” “Game of Thrones” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” are among big contenders in the Excellence in Sci-Fi / Fantasy Television category.

The Costume Designers Guild Awards will take place at the Beverly Hilton on Jan. 28, 2020. Special honorees this year will be presented to Mary Ellen Fields , Michael Kaplan, Adam McKay and Charlize Theron.
